figure this is a body positive platform sharing creative ways to celebrate the human body. Starting from weekly life drawing classes in Belfast, we've evolved into live-streamed classes, an on-demand service and a growing social media community
We started figure this in 2019 as we wanted to create life drawing classes that cater for all levels of experience. We wanted this space to be friendly, supportive and inclusive, both for artists and for life models. Over the next six months, we held weekly classes at Accidental Theatre, accumulating a wonderful community of artists, life models and teachers.
The onset of Covid-19 meant we had to cancel our in-person classes, however in the months that followed we learnt to film and live-stream high definition online life drawing classes. Since then we have developed our on-demand service, which has over 20 hours of live poses, all with audio guidance from professional artists.
Delivering classes online has allowed us to reach artists across the world, meaning we have been able to share on a wider scale, creative ways in which we can learn about and celebrate the wonders and diversity of the human body.
We're only just getting started and have lots of exciting plans for the future, but our core motive will always remain the same, which is to create an accessible, inclusive space where people can access the creative tools needed to reconnect with the human body.
